Dear NESPRA Members,
I hope you're having a great start to the week! A few brief updates:
On October 31, we provided NSPRA with our official membership list and we have a total 121 members for 2024-25, which is on par with where we were at the end of 2023-24. We are still getting additional registrations which is great! Please help us spread the word.
A friendly reminder to fill out our NESPRA Membership Survey. We have collected responses from 40 of our 121 members! We are getting great insight into the demographics and needs of our members, and this information will help us with future programming.
The NESPRA Executive Board held its bi-annual planning retreat this past Friday at Pinkerton Academy in Derry, NH -- home to our VP Julia Mitchell. It allowed us for important in-person time to plan the launch of our professional learning communities, review initial membership survey results, and begin planning for the 2025 conference, which will be held on Friday, May 9. More details to come. Look out for an email soon inviting members to join our PLCs: 1) Membership Growth and Networking; 2) Professional Development and Conference Planning; and 3) Advocacy of the Profession.
Our next virtual Lunch and Learn, "5 Ways to Incorporate AI into School Communications" by Christina DiMicelli is scheduled for Friday, Nov. 22, from 12-1 PM. Julia will email you all details and a link.
Massachusetts Members: We are in the process of scheduling a webinar for our MA members from DESE Communications Director (and fellow NESPRA member) Jackie Reis, to give you a heads up on news from DESE that may impact your districts. Separately, NESPRA MA Rep Esmer Casas is in the process of planning an in-person meet-up for us tentatively in December.
Thanks for all you are doing. Have a great day!
