NESPRA general membership is open to anyone working in K-12 school communications in the six New England states (CT, ME, MA, NH, RI, VT) and bordering Canadian provinces. Our members range from communications specialists and directors to administrative assistants and superintendents -- anyone who is doing school communications work. We now permit school communicators in transition of jobs to remain as members for the year.*
Please note retiree memberships are for retired school communicators with at least 5 years in the profession.
*Please note that technically the membership is owned by the entity that paid for it, per bylaws. Members may continue to use their membership for the year granted there is no issue with the entity that paid for it, which in most cases is their former employer.
New members may join the chapter at any time during the calendar year. New members are required to pay $50 regardless of the time of year they join; new members will not be pro-rated if they join late in the year.
September 1-August 31: An annual membership is active during this time.
July 1-August 31: Current members are notified that the annual membership renewal period is open.
September 1-October 15: Lapsed members will be notified that they are required to renew their membership or risk losing member-only privileges, which will be revoked on or about October 15.
October 31: NESPRA is required to submit its annual membership roster to the national organization, NSPRA.
